Congratulations to Chris Stagg, a 25-year-old Gold Award holder from Christchurch who has been selected to represent New Zealand at the International Gold Event in Prague, Czech Republic, 25-30 October 2017.
His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh is stepping down from public engagements from August this year, and we wish him all the very best for his most well-deserved retirement - at the amazing age of 95! He will continue to be associated with over 780 organisations such as The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (and the Aotearoa New Zealand / Hillary Award) but he will no longer play an active role by attending engagements. Since founding the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in 1956 The Duke has worked tirelessly to enable millions of young people to have the opportunity to transform their lives through participation in the Award. We remain immensely grateful to HRH for his continued Patronage and send him our thanks and good wishes.
If you've donated to The Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award during the last financial year ended 31 March 2017, don't forget that you could claim back on your income tax 33% of the total amount you donated. If you've misplaced your receipt, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
