IMAgEN8 is an Accredited Activity Provider that gives you the opportunity to develop your photography skills within the Skills Section of the Award. This unique opportunity is also an activity you can participate in for your Kākāriki Pathway journey.  They conduct nature photography workshops that connect you with Nature, enhance your hauora/wellbeing, build your skills and be a steward or kaitiakitanga of the environment through your creativity. You will get the chance to have your work published in books and a digital magazine, Compassionate Nature, and create a compelling portfolio that showcases your talents.

Their Award program enables you to capture compelling stories about Nature, without the price tag of all the gear. Connect with your
environment and diverse communities through education, photography and technology. IMAgEN8 will loan a Canon 3000d dSLR camera, provide photography mentors, organise educational sessions, run workshops and help publish your work in their magazine, book and other national media like Toitoi and Excio.

Gain comprehensive photography skills that will be an asset and could develop into a passion with IMaGN8, while deepening your connection with nature and conservation.

If you want to learn more, or to get involved, check out our Partner Brochure, their website or talk to your Award Leader.

IMAgEN8’s first program for 2022 will start with a workshop on September 3rd. Deadline for application is August 19th. If you are keen to be a part of this exciting experience and develop your photography skills and appreciation for the beauty of nature, sign up here. It will be so worth your while.
