Joshua Foundation has been delivering the Duke of Edinburgh International Award since 2005 and holds a high Trust contract with the National Award office for the delivery of the Award in Canterbury. The Director of the Joshua Foundation, Chris Allan is a Gold Award holder and is acutely aware of the impact and on-going value of the award to young people within our Community.
Joshua Foundation works with all Schools and Operating authorities in Canterbury, and is focused upon outcomes for young people.
The Purpose of the Joshua Foundation is to provide specifically designed programs including the Duke of Edinburgh International Award that targets youth within our Community. These programs are based upon sound ethical values and moral principals, therefore empowering youth to fulfill ambitions and dreams through sound leadership, competence, courage, clarity, integrity and character.
The Programs will empower youth to become disciplined, resourceful, confident and self reliant with the emphasis upon fostering initiative, building self esteem and developing a personal self belief.
