Peel Forest Outdoor Centre Silver and Gold Adventurous Journey Opportunities

 

Silver Practice and/or Qualifier

Overview:

Cost:

Practice only – 3 days - $250 per person

Qualifier only – 3 1/2 days – $300 per person

Full week - (practice and qualifying journey) – 7 days - $450 per person

This is inclusive of all instructor, transportation costs (once onsite), mountain radio/sat phone hire and Eco-lodge or cabin accommodation for one night. It does not include food or cooking fuel/equipment for the week or additional hut fees, if the students choose to stay in huts. We have tents available to use so this is an alternative to save costs here.

 
Transport:

You will need to arrange your own transport to and from Peel Forest Outdoor Centre base. This is located 100m past the cafe/bar in Peel Forest village, and you will see a large wooden sign on the right hand side. Those of you coming from Christchurch may wish to organise shared transportation. We will meet on Monday 21st at 9am. We will aim to wrap up on Sunday 27th by 4pm. Practice only students will finish on Wednesday 23rd at 4pm. Qualifier only students will start on Thursday 24th at 1pm.

 

 

Gold Qualifier

Cost:

Gold qualifier – 4 days including two transport shuttles - $450 per person

This is inclusive of all instructor, transportation costs (once onsite), mountain radio/sat phone hire and driver costs for drop offs at each end. It does not include food or cooking fuel/equipment for the week or additional hut fees if the students choose to stay in huts. We have tents available to use so this is an alternative to save costs here

This is located 100m past the cafe/bar in Peel Forest village, and you will see a large wooden sign on the right hand side. Those of you coming from Christchurch may wish to organise shared transportation to save on fuel costs and help reduce carbon emission. We will meet on Tuesday 23rd April at 8am, as we need to allow time for gear checks and travel to the start of the tramp. We will aim to wrap up at Peel Forest Outdoor Centre on Friday 26th April by 4pm.
