Girl Guiding New Zealand

Our mission is to empower girls to take action to change their world.

We do this by using fun, adventure and friendship to build their confidence and life skills.

GirlGuiding NZ is a non-profit organisation where girls can be girls, where they will discover their passions, contribute to their communities and form friendships in a safe and positive environment.

GirlGuiding NZ offers every girl the opportunity to decide and take charge of her Guiding journey. Girls can take part in a wide range of experiences that will increase their self-confidence and self-esteem; help them to develop courage and resilience to overcome challenges; encourage them to embrace diversity; and become committed to caring for the environment. Best of all, GirlGuiding NZ offers a non-competitive, girl-led environment where girls can learn to take action to change their world in whatever way is meaningful to them.

If you are a Ranger, your Girl Guiding activities may count towards your Award. Girl Guides have a National Award Unit. Once you sign up you’ll have access to an Award Leader from Girl Guiding to help you get started. Please note, this Award Leader might not be your Girl Guiding Unit Leader.

Note that the requirements of the Award must be met, so you may need additional activity time to complete your Award. This could be in the activity you are already doing and/or another activity.
