TravelEd - Gold Residential Project Opportunity

Learning by Doing | Mā te mahi, ka mārma


TravelEd is based in the Bay of Plenty and is offering a Residential Project opportunity for Gold Award participants.  TravelEd specialises in arranging experiences in a Māori context. Their programmes are based along the Bay of Plenty coastline from the forests to the coast, from the ancestral mountains to the rivers.

Activities include:

Hangi making | native planting | traditional food gathering | easy hike up an ancestral mountain | marae life | traditional food preparation, sea and river | waka paddling | traditional fishing | river bugging | native plant identification | traditional medicine| interacting with local Māori youth | fun traditional games, song and performance | flax weaving 

At the end of each programme participants will have developed new skills, knowledge and understanding, and, an inquisitiveness to build upon in the future.

Māori Culture Immersion

Full interaction with local Māori communities.
