Gold Award Ceremonies
2022 Gold Ceremony Dates
Auckland – Saturday 11 June – this ceremony is already full
Wellington – Saturday 13 August – RSVP emails will be going out to Recipients to be invited about 12 weeks prior
Christchurch – Saturday 15 October - RSVP emails will be going out to Recipients to be invited about 12 weeks prior
We currently have a waiting list for some of our Award Ceremonies so please don't make travel bookings until you have received an email from us officially inviting you to a ceremony and you have RSVP'd. Venues for all of these Award Ceremonies will be confirmed closer to the time.
Please check that we have your main personal email address (not your school email) to ensure you will receive an invitation to a Gold Award Ceremony.
Please note that if Gold Awardees turn down invitations to three separate Gold Award ceremonies, their certificate will automatically be mailed out to them and they will not be invited to another ceremony.
The attendance of the Her Excellency Dame Cindy Kiro at our Gold Award Ceremonies will be as follows:
At the conclusion of the formal Award Ceremony the Governor General will join the celebration, address the audience, have a group photo and then spend the remainder of the time amongst the invitees and talking with the Awardees.
Her Excellency Dame Cindy Kiro will attend the Gold Ceremonies wherever possible. From time to time she may be called upon at short notice to be elsewhere and will not be able to attend a ceremony.
