All licensed Award Units and Activity Providers have gone through the Award's annual licensing process and have confirmed that they have safety management system in place.
An Award Unit working with a provider will have their own process for checking the suitability of the provider’s programme in terms of health and safety requirements for their young people.
Similarly, it is the responsibility of the participant’s parent/guardian/carer to evaluate the safeguarding and health and safety policies the organisation has, if a participant is engaging directly with a provider.
If there is any issue or concern around the immediate safety of a young person, please contact the appropriate emergency authorities.
